We sincerely hope you are looking forward to our big day ! The joys of having to organise a trip to see a couple youngsters tie the knot ;)
Seriously though you've made it into the top 90 people we know ! So please know that we really appreciate you !
About us
We have been together for five years, three hundred and sixty four days, but who is counting :)
We met in the cheapest accommodation in Aberdeen during our first year of University, (no wonder we are not paying for your accommodation ;) )
at a house party i threw a mates hat out the window, jumped to get it and met an unknowing Ania off to watch a sunrise with friends.
Que terrible flirting and telling Ania she had to invite me for one, which for some reason she did. We went on a five hour date starting at 4am and the rest is history
Yes I did ask Ania how many kids she wanted on the first date which she loves to bring up, however on hour 4 converstaion topics can run out.
Where to fly into:
Rzeszów or Kraków
Airports that have routes to Rzeszów:
Edinburgh and London Stanstead
Airports that have routes into Kraków:
London: Heathrow, Stanstead, Gatwick. Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle, Edinburgh Aberdeen, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham.
If flying into Rzeszów:
Easy enough get a Bolt (European Uber) to your hotel from the Airport.
If flying into Kraków:
Two main options, Hire a car for the duration of the trip, (please keep in mind the excess these companies charge in event of damage, can look cheap online but check T and C's and coverage options. Otherwise public transport trains or buses. There is a train station attached to the airport, take a train into Kraków Główny (central station) these run regularly and are fairly cheap. from there use the PKP INTERCITY website to book a train from Kraków Główny to Rzeszów Główny or get yourself to the Kraków MDA bus station (conveniently located right next to the train station) and get a flix bus to Rzeszów.
Accommodation
Unfortunately we are not in a financial position to purchase accommodation for guests, as such accommodation is up to yourselves
We have picked a venue specifically within the city to make sure their are accommodation options suitable for everyone
Though as many of you are part of wider family or friend groups who will be coming, getting together to book group accommodation or larger Airbnb’s may be the best and cheapest option !
if anyone is having financial issues please get in contact with either of us, as if you have been invited that means we want you there !
Travel from the UK
Will there be children ?
It is an under 18s free wedding (other than children of the immediate family)
Do I get a Plus one ?
No, only people named on the invitations are to come. Please speak to us if you wish to bring someone who was not on the invitation.
Should I get them a Gift?
For those travelling from abroad to be there for our day we do not expect anything at all! Though if you are still so inclined to give us something we would request they be cash gifts
What is the currency ?
Polish currency is the Złoty and is currently at a 5:1 ratio with GBP
Cost expectation:
Overall relatively cheaper than the UK: Meal for two around £25, 500ml of beer £3.50 and a night in a 4 star hotel around £50 per night if booked in advance
